Just starting my last planned read for the #NetGalleyReadathon, and then I‘m free to mood read from my selection. So far, they‘ve all been picks. Hoping me good luck with book choices continues. I hate writing reviews when I don‘t enjoy the book.
I thought things were too good to be true for the main character from the first page. I‘m so glad I continued reading! There were several great twists and I never felt bored. I somewhat identified with the protagonists but there was an excessive amount of sobbing so never really fell in love with her. It was a quick read that had me guessing.
The first 100 pages, I was at the edge of my seat...then all this crying, and crying and crying again, and I had to skip half pages because she teared up again ?.i loved the story and the writing was easy but this "damsel in distress" crap really turned me off. The story was still good enough for me to finish it
I really couldn‘t put this one down. This was an amazon first reads so glad I picked it. Loved it. An easy Psychological not typical thriller.
Brilliant! Psychological suspense at its finest, and you have got to love when the main character questions their own sanity.. impossible to figure out, and a totally great thriller! This book rates at the top of my list for the year with The Woman in the Window!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
July TBR! I‘m currently reading the top 2, the red ones are borrowed from the library, and the last 2 I own 🙌🏻💯 💥 🇺🇸
Lunchtime reading yesterday.. I only got a little bit in, but rest assured it will be ON tonight after work and tomorrow 👍🏻💯🙌🏻😚 this seems like a good one!!
Starting this Amazon First Reads today. Hope it‘s a good one!
From the moment I started this I was on the edge of my seat. I think I yelled out PLOT TWIST at least 4 times. Yea my family looked me crazy each time. Brandi Reeds had me in the palm of her hand as the story unfolded. I wanted to shake, cry for and hit someone for Veronica so many times in this book. I‘m happy to say it didn‘t end like I thought it would but at the same time I was like mmmm what? Wait? EXPLAINNNNNNN!
April was a great mont for reading. I started withHeaven Adjacent and ends with Trespassing. I discovered I did enjoy audiobooks despite my pet peeve of being read to.
This was quite a page-turner! It had everything:
1. A loving husband who suddenly disappears under mysterious circumstances
2. A wife who is getting IVF treatments and is under suspicion runs away with her child to a tropical paradise
3. A stranger lurking in the dark, the only hint of their presence is the lighted end of a cigarette
Who do you trust when you can't even trust yourself?
1. SF Bay Area
2. We Have Always Lived In The Castle or Fingersmith
3. Agatha Raisin and Dublin Murder Squad
4. Rosemary's Baby or Edward Scissorhands
5. Alfred Hitchcock Presents
6. Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Nicks, Natalie Merchant
7. Purple
8. Horror, thriller, suspense, mystery, historical fiction
9. Neo Cocoa Confections
10. I have Lydia the 😸

Nooooooooo! That is not how you #ssdgm when you're an unreliable character/narrator! Cardinal rule: when your husband is missing and you feel like you're going crazy, NEVER use the past tense!
This book is creepy from the start! I'm trying to be productive today but I don't want to put this down.
Kindle First pick for March. So many great books to choose from. Already purchased True Fiction and thinking about Digging In.
This was one of the Amazon First Reads, and it's a really excellent thriller that makes you question everything up until the very end!
There are some mystery and crime titles that coming in April. If you want to see more check my blog post.

I couldn't make up my mind on the kindle first picks this month. All three of these looked great. So I chose the top book as my first pick and pre-ordered the other two.
