stunning. If you're looking for specifics of how and why's about the virus itself, this book is wrong for you. As in her previous book, it's all about characters and Karen Walker is one of the few writers, who manages to create each character so well that they are all likeable and you care for each individually. I love her style and the story was very well told.

One of the best true crime novels I've read, by far. Michelle McNamara was truly amazing journalist and it's very sad that this would be the only legacy she left for us. But what a legacy!!!! It was eerie, haunting and smart. She spend more time to introduce us to victims, rather than obsessing about the killer. after this read, I double check my locks.

what a gem. I have to take breaks between reading because every few chapters, my heart shatters. I love that the writer doesn't apologize for anyone, especially himself. This book will be with me for a long while

I've started this book couple times and never passed page 11. Maybe it was wrong timing? Third time is the charm? I've heard so much about this trilogy and I really hope it is as good as everyone says it is 👏

That was a scary one. well written. to the point. nothing is dragging out. The topic is uncomfortable, but it wasn't about the gory details. it was more about why she could've possibly do this.

I need to take a chill pill reading this...I'm half through and I really have hard time stopping myself comparing president Meyer with the current president Cheeto. and I hope neither he nor his fans will ever read this book to have any more stupid ideas

I quit my job in NYC and moved spontaneous to New Zealand and work now in micro brewery (instead of winery). I feel very familiar what the heroine going through 😁

PS I like the story but the writing is to naive. As a wine lover, I have no patience for author using wine to sell their books. just promote it as what it is- wine style eat pray love mantra..then I wouldnt waste my time. It's not bad. it's just not for me

The first 100 pages, I was at the edge of my seat...then all this crying, and crying and crying again, and I had to skip half pages because she teared up again ?.i loved the story and the writing was easy but this "damsel in distress" crap really turned me off. The story was still good enough for me to finish it

It's not what I expected and good so...i really enjoyed writing and I cared about characters enough, to follow up on their lifes after. I think, the description and reviews were off putting and I'm glad I picked this book up.

Goldfinch | Donna Tartt

I probably should mention that miss Tartt is one of my favorite writers. This book was pure magic. I laughed, I cried, I was invested in the main characters life and was rooting for him. yes, the book is maybe about 100 pages to long, but the gorgeous writing won't bore you for a second. Great reads, like every book is written by this talented woman

The Age of Miracles: A Novel | Karen Thompson Walker
Pickpick

I can't rave enough about this book. The author did amazing job to scare the living hell out of me with a "what if" alternative.its a great story telling with no judgement or finger pointing at anyone but just a story of change through a young girls eyes. I read this book few years back and it still hunts me.this book should be considered as modern day "to kill a mockingbird" classic (in my humble opinion) do yourself a favor and just read it asap

The City of Mirrors | Justin Cronin

Men, where do I start? As previously said, loved passage, liked twelve. Didn't need a third book but still waited patiently all those years.bought a copy first day it came out.took it on cruise and was ready for some entertainment.I've never been more bored in my life. There was no need for this book. Actually, I was insulted and mad and disappointed that this promising series tarnished it's legacy with lazy writing and an extremely boring story.

Passage | Justin Cronin
Pickpick

when I picked up passage, I didn't know anything about this book. I loved how it was set up in 2 parts. I'm a huge fan of apocalypse, not only for action but also surviving every day life.this book had 2 parts and while I enjoyed reading 1st part, I loved 2nd part (I read Swan Song years later and realized how identical 1st part was).i thought writing was very entertaining (even though I felt like J. Cronin struggled describing action scenes).

Swan Song | Robert McCammon
Pickpick

I tried to read "stand " by Stephen King few times. after 3 or 4 years, I made it to page 200 and just gave up. I was first reluctant about Swan Song because I heard it was similar to stand and boy, was I wrong. I got sucked in right from the beginning. It had plenty horror, action and just enough kitch to keep me entertained..i loved every page of it. Highly recommend

I liked the idea of this book. I just didn't care for it's delivery..granted, I'm not a fan of poetry and reading this book, felt like reading poetry rather then novel..the second part felt like a completely different book.. Both stories have abrupt endings and I felt like I wasted my time...as I said, if you're into poetry, you might enjoy the writing style
