AN INTRIGUING MYSTERY SURROUNDS THE KING'S MISTRESS London 1667. The second book in the Restoration series and just as much of an excellent read as the first. Pure storytelling at its best. A truly believable plot that leads you on a course that twists and turns towards its end leaving the reader completely satisfied. With six books in the series I will certainly purchase the final four very soon.

Another enjoyable historical mystery from Edward Marston. I do enjoy the combination of the cultured Architect Christopher Redmayne, and the rather more down to earth Constable Jonathan Bale. In this one they seek to find out who has kidnapped the King‘s mistress, and actress, Harriet Gow! These books are both light and enjoyable. Now onto The Repentant Rake!

Just about to start The Amorous Nightingale by Edward Marston, which is book two in the historical mystery Christopher Redmayne Series. This one is set in 1667.

Andrew65 @jpmcwisemorgan Christopher Redmayne is a designer of houses in Christopher Wren‘s period post the Fire of London, and with the help of his friend Constable Jonathan Bale they set about solving murders. #It‘sFriday and I‘ve got my reading set up for the weekend. Finishing off sections ready for the #EpicBuddyRead and #BOTMBuddyRead , and then got a historical mystery to get to, set at the time of Christopher Wren, this is the second book in the Christopher Redmayne Series. #HappinessIsResistance
