I generally really enjoy reading AL Jackson's books and this was was neither bad or really great. There was some great angst in the love story but I felt myself getting annoyed with all the internal monologues the two main characters had. A lot of it got repetitive and there were times I felt the writing was trying to hard to be poetic.

There is nothing light-hearted about this book. Both the main characters came with deep dark pasts. Since I started the series with this book (#3) I want to go back and read the rest of the series and looking forward to the series continuing.
