Detective Michael Bennett finally returns to New York City - and to the most unsettling, horrific case of his career. At last, Detective Michael Bennett and his family are coming home to New York City. Thanks to Bennett, the ruthless crime lord whose vengeful mission forced the Bennett family into hiding has been brought down for good. Back in the city that never sleeps, Bennett takes over a chaotic Outreach Squad in Harlem, where he receives an unusual call: a man claims to have seen a group of well-dressed men holding a bizarre party in a condemned building. With no clear crime or evidence, Bennett dismisses the report. But when a charred body is found in that very same building, he is forced to take the caller seriously - and is drawn into an underground criminal world of terrifying depravity.

This was a great read. This is another series from this author, and I think Michael Bennet is my favorite. #SeriesLove23 @Clwojick @Andrew65 and another one done for #AwesomeAprilReadathon

This was another good read. Love the family Dynamics here with the kids. 2 good cases again solved. And another bingo spot on #ISpyBingoApril. Even though there are two covers, I only got one. @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks

Clwojick Woohoo! I still can‘t get over how many books he‘s written/co-written. 12mo

Binged listened as I sewed. Bennet is back in New York and demoted by his immediate supervisor, an old enemy. Yet he still finds himself on complicated cases…a report of cannibalism and a series of diamond thefts.

I normally like James patterson books but I am finding this one a bit to busy ...There seems to be to many things going on at once but still ok read

Not a lot of character development but the fast pace and short chapters will keep you flipping pages. This one's a little gruesome but it's perfect for the beach or whenever you need a mindless read.

I think the short chapters and fast pace will work well at the beach.
