This book dives deep into the emotions of dogs and humans. It really opened up my eyes to what my dogs are thinking and feeling and having more empathy for their fear.
McConnell supports her writing with many studies and personal experiences working with the dogs on her farm and in owner homes.
She even breaks down the areas of the canine brain in a very understandable way.
I recommend this book to all dog owners and professionals!

We said good bye to our Jenny on Saturday. This photo has been my profile pic here and on facebook for as long as I can remember. My inmate handlers gave me this beautiful laser etching of her as a gift today. I managed not to cry but I admit my voice did get a little weird.
