Rick Steves Ireland 2018
Rick Steves Ireland 2018 | Rick Steves, Pat O'Connor
2 posts
You can count on Rick Steves to tell you what you really need to know when traveling in Ireland. With this guide, you can explore lively Dublin, quaint Kilkenny, and the moss-draped ruins of the Ring of Kerry. Navigate meandering back roads that lead to windswept crags on the dramatic Dingle Peninsula. Explore Ireland's revered past by following St. Patrick's footsteps to the Rock of Cashel. Marvel at Newgrange, the mysterious mound older than the pyramids; then connect with today's Irish culture by grabbing a pint at the local pub, enjoying the fiddle music, and jumping into conversations that buzz with brogue. Rick's candid, humorous advice will guide you to good-value hotels and restaurants. He'll help you plan where to go and what to see, depending on the length of your trip. You'll get up-to-date recommendations on what is worth your time and money. More than just reviews and directions, a Rick Steves guidebook is a tour guide in your pocket.

Vacation planning! Anyone have any must-see recommendations? Anyone know of any Little Free Libraries in Ireland? I'd love to find some when we're visiting.

MicrobeMom The hubby and I are going to Ireland in July!! Never been before but a student of mine told me the Cliffs of Moher are a must! 7y
DeborahSmall I live In Carrickfergus, about 10 mile from Belfast on the Antrim coastal route 7y
goodbyefrancie @DeborahSmall What do you recommend in your area? 7y
goodbyefrancie @MicrobeMom The Cliffs are on our list! 7y
DeborahSmall The castle is beautiful if you‘re already on your way around the coast towards the Giants Causeway. You‘ll only get bookshops in Belfast and bigger towns up north. If you‘re going to the giants causeway I‘d also recommend the carrick-a-rede rope bridge and the Bushmills whiskey tour, it‘s all very close together. The drive through the glens of Antrim is beautiful 7y
Mdargusch Giants Causeway! 7y
JenReadsAlot Cliffs of moher and Blarney castle! 7y
JamieArc Yes to @DeborahSmall ‘s suggestion. The rope bridge is a pretty amazing experience. I did it 13 years ago and remember it vividly. The Blarney castle grounds are cool, so if you go, walk around outside. And it should go without saying, but stop in some pubs and catch some live music. 7y
goodbyefrancie @DeborahSmall @Mdargusch Giant's Causeway is the place my hubby most wants to see. Thanks so much for the ideas...and the link! 7y
