This lovely book was published in 1950 and Gayelord has some catty tips on how to achieve a #supermodel appearance as you age, noting:
-naturally, your problems are few if you have retained a youthful body. If you have permitted yourself to grow fat, start to get rid of it at once.
-Do not worry about character lines and fine wrinkles. Just be sure that they are in the right places and that they have an upward, not a downward, slant.

emilyhaldi Cont:.... -I look forward to the time when the remedying of bodily blemishes and deformities, at all ages, by expert plastic surgeons will be taken as a matter of course, much the same as going to the dentist. Gayelord is pretty harsh, but atleast he's honest! 😆 @Mdargusch and I like looking through this gem for a good laugh! (edited) 7y

Reviewsbylola This sounds very similar to grandma and her type of advice. My favorite is how her mother told her to stay skinny because that‘s all she had going for her. 😂 7y
