The New York Times bestselling author of the Tangled books returns with the third standalone romance in the Legal Briefs series, a collection of sexy novels about first crushes, second chances, and the final verdict of the heart. When Brent Mason looks at Kennedy Randolph, he doesnt see the awkward, sweet girl who grew up next door. He sees a self-assured, stunning womanwho wants to crush the most intimateand prizedparts of his anatomy beneath the heels of her Louboutins. When Kennedy looks at Brent, all she sees is the selfish, Abercrombie & Fitch catalogueworthy teenager who humiliated her in high school in order to join the popular crowd. A crowd that made those years a living hell for her. But shes not a lovesick social outcast anymoreshes a Washington, DC, prosecutor with a long winning streak. Brent is the opposing attorney in her next case, and Kennedy thinks its time to put him through a little hell of his own. But things arent exactly working out the way she planned. Brent has his sights set on Kennedy, and every fiery exchange only makes him want her moreand makes her wonder if hes as passionate in the bedroom as he is in the courtroom. In the end, they may just find themselves in loveor in contempt of court.

This was cute but I like Jack and Chelsea's story better. I found the ending and how Brent dealt with the whole mafia situation a bit unrealistic. I was literally eye rolling my way through that part. Anyway, other than that, I found it entertaining.

Taking a break from psychological suspense. I need a light-hearted read right now. This one is great so far. 😊

Kind of hilarious to have such a crazy family. And it‘s nice to see Brent‘s life and how the manwhore has fallen. It‘s sad to see this series end and I really enjoy this author‘s writing. #contemporaryromance #emmachase

Finished The Legal Briefs series with this book. Light, quick, and ultimately happy. Just what I needed after two weeks from hell at work.

No fancy sounding review here. I didn't read this to improve my literary analysis skills. I read it to relax and escape reality. It worked.

Picked this up at the library - a quick, fun read that was much needed after my 19 hour tome of Salem. I'll definitely be checking out the first two books in the series!

I gave spent the day with Brent and Kennedy! What a ride! A second chance romance between childhood best friends who became more ( for a little while) and then meet up again in a courtroom 14 years later... 😍 Amazing banter, sexual tension and romance. What's not to love about this? Emma Chase rule
