♥️♥️♥️♥️Amazing!♥️♥️♥️♥️ I enjoyed hanging out with the guys in the Bromance Book Club so much! 😁 I am so happy that Ms. Adams built a whole series around them. Thea, Gavin, and their girls were lovely. One flaw: Liv. Even though she kind of redeemed herself in the end, I'm still reluctant to read her story, which is next in the series. I probably will because I love Mack and I respect the Bromance. 🙌

This one falls between a pick and a so so. Jess' annoying friend Sophie really takes away from the story. God, how I wanted to smack her one. This would have been a better book if Jess spent a little more time with Alex and less time with her friends. Besides, the dynamics between the housemates is so interesting that Jess' friends are so unnecessary. Overall, it's a nice holiday read.

One word. Incredible. Lisa Jewell has a gift when it comes to storytelling. I think this may be my favorite book by her. I just learned from her Instagram page that "The Family Upstairs" has been picked up for a six part tv series. Yay! ?

If you loved Rachel Gibson's "How Jane Scored" then you're going to adore "The Good Guy". The way Meader encapsulates the camaraderie between Levi and his fellow hockey players is gold! The romance between Jordan and Levi is sweet and hot! I was really sad when this one ended. The fact that Theo's story comes out next month takes a lot of the sting out. He and Elle are going to be fun! ?

Thank God this was a short one! The main character is unlikeable and the entire plot is predictable. Also, I feel like the story is suffering from an identity crisis. Is it a ghost story or is it a murder mystery? Honestly, I could have dealt without the paranormal element since it is executed so poorly by the author. This is the first book I have read by Gerristen and I think it will be my last. 😞

Talk about your neighbors from hell! I would not want to live on Lowland Way. The Booths are frighteningly antisocial and unfortunately, their nastiness brings out the worst in the people who have the misfortune of living around them. It's quite thrilling to read. Hmm...I wonder if Ms. Candish watches "Fear Thy Neighbor". ??

This one did not live up to my high expectations. The chemistry between Evvie and Dean seemed forced. Also, I didn't really warm up to Evvie's character. Even the setting was a bit dull and that's surprising since I love books that take place in little towns. I did enjoy reading about the relationship between Evvie and Andy. Sadly, Evvie had more chemistry with Andy than she did with Dean. 😐

I have never read a romance novel that is primarily set at a Renaissance fair. The author gets major bonus points from me for that alone. It definitely provided an entertaining background for the slow burn romance between Emily and Simon . I am so glad they found a way to admit their feelings and love each other. I cannot recommend this one enough. ❤

Reading a Tessa Dare book is s as satisfying as sinking your teeth into a slice of delicious, melts in your mouth, chocolate cake. "The Wallflower Wager" is no exception. Penny and Gabe are beautiful together and don't get me started on the parrot. That Delilah is something else! LOL I give this one a 10/10. I can't wait for the final book in this series! ❤❤❤

What a delightful novel! I had a real fun time getting to know Nina and her eclectic group of family and friends. Even better, the story is set in my hometown of Los Angeles and I really appreciated the sense of familiarity. I loved the sweet romance between Nina and Tom. I hope to read more by this author! ❤

"The Last Book Party" is just a giant cliche. I found the plot and the characters to be utterly predictable. The only surprising revelation revolved around Jeremy and what I found out about him only made me dislike him as much as the rest of the characters. Glad this was a quick read. ?

The Bride Test | Helen Hoang

Even though this an adorable romance story, it just does not live up to "The Kiss Quotient". After Esme and Khai have their falling out, they spend quite a few chapters apart from each other; I did not like this. As a result, I sped through a good 10% of the book. I loved the beautiful ending. ❤

While I enjoyed the author's message about forgiveness, it just did not blow me away. As soon as I finished reading it, I instantly forgot about it. I'm already immersed in “The Bride Test“. Hopefully this one resonates with me more than “Things you Save in a Fire“.

Turn of the Key | Ruth Ware
Pickpick

I can't believe I almost passed on this one! "Turn of the Key" is now my favorite Ruth Ware book. Nobody builds suspense like her. Every twist and turn of the plot had me clicking the pages at rapid speed, which definitely caused me to lose sleep lol. Also, talk about the creepy kid angle! Too bad Stage hadn't read this book before she wrote Baby Teeth. Ware demonstrates how to characterize a disturbed child on a believable level. The ending..wtf?

Outfox | Sandra Brown
Pickpick

This is the best Sandra Brown book I've read since "The Crush". Jasper Ford is one of the most intriguing villians I've read about in a long time. Brown does not allow the story's plot to overshadow the romance between the hero and heroine, which makes it a perfect romantic suspense. "Outfox" is definitely worth the Kindle hardback price and I am proud that is a part of my collection. ?

So, last night I'm about three or four chapters in this book when I realize my digital copy is defective. I'm talking about missing words on every page. I call Amazon and get my refund. Do I want to get in the queue for a library copy? No thanks. I have a feeling this book will not be worth my time. It's so underwhelming.

MuddyPuddle What a bummer ... one of my favorite authors ... 4mo
Jemgirl2014 @MuddyPuddle Oh no! I'm willing to give her another try. Any suggestions? 😊 4mo
MuddyPuddle @Jemgirl2014 I always listen to them – Joshilyn Jackson reads them herself and I really enjoy listening to her. I‘m not usually into this sort of fiction, but I think Never Have I Ever is her first “thriller“. Try The Almost Sisters. And if you‘re even a little into listening to audiobooks, try listening to her read one of her own stories, pretty cool. 4mo
Jemgirl2014 @MuddyPuddle Thanks! I'm going to stack "The Almost Sisters" right now. I've never done audio before but I like the idea of her reading her own books as well. It is pretty neat! 4mo

I just think this one could have been better. When I got to the 60% mark, I became antsy for it to end; it just dragged on and on. Also, the ending was predictable. The fact that I made it all the way to the end without bailing, makes it a perfectly average book imo.

Please excuse the bad pun, but this book is off the chain! All 77 chapters are pure gold. Adrian McKinty's writing is so creative and intelligent. I just wish there had been a book discussion reading guide as it would come in handy for for book club members lucky enough to pick this one up. 😀

Now I see why this book was constantly coming up in my Litsy feed. "The Kiss Quotient" is deliciously good! Michael charmed me so much to the point where I wanted him to be my boyfriend! ? As for Stella, I have not met a heroine as sweet and true hearted as she. I just couldn't get enough of either of them! The secondary characters added to the beauty of this novel and I definitely cannot wait for Quan's story. I know it's coming. ?

This book did not live up to the hype for me. My main complaint with it is the writer's style. Her background in corporate law definitely shows in this book as it takes her about a million words to get to the point. I don't have time for that. What I enjoyed about it is the vindication each won earned at the end of the book. Still, I don't think I will read her next book.

"Lock Every Door" is truly his best one yet! This book is beyond creepy and all of the twists and turns definitely had my mind working overtime. ? I really could not believe the ending. How devious! Well, I guess the old saying is true: If something is too good to be true, then it provably is!

This book is between a pick and a so so. I think it was just a bit too long and I was itching for it to end. This was unputdownable! This was the Smackdown of the century between wife and mistress. I mean, Tessa, the wife snapped, and rightfully so. However, as the story progressed and as you read from both women's perspectives, I couldn't help feeling sorry for the other woman. The husband, Ethan was a creep! What he did to both women was unconscionable. My only criticism of the book was the end. If Tessa takes him back I will slap her! LOL

Usually I stay away from the fake fiance plot device in my romance novels but Ms. Halle makes it work. The kindness and tenderness Valerie and Padraig show each other is heartwarming. During their visit to his hometown of Shambles, Ireland, they each learn a lesson about inner strength, forgiveness, and love. I just love Padraig and Valerie as a couple. I could not think of two people more deserving of true love and happiness.
