A dry, sharp x-ray of the horror of life in the Gulf, the network of complicity, the scope of tragedy. Dang, y‘all. This one is HARD BOILED. Crazy mystery that makes my usual noir look like Dr. Seuss. The complex soup of Mexican military, police, US government officials and narcos made a great story. So many great twists and turns. When the original problem appeared to be solved about halfway in, I wasn‘t sure what would happen next. Yup. I had no idea!!!! #netgalley
