This story made me remember why I had wanted to become a zookeeper in college but also why I decided against it. All of the keepers have such compassion towards their animals, but the low pay and politics get in the way. Also it's heartbreaking what happens to the animals, especially when it's due to an terrible guest provoking the animals!

Tamra I am ethically torn about zoos. 😒 5y

1) Sadly no. I live in a pretty rural area.
2) No zoo but I‘ve been to several ones nearby. I just went to the Nashville zoo on Monday where I found this dashing monkey in a display in the women‘s bathroom.
3) Red pandas!
4) The Nashville zoo has some kangaroos you can pet.

Fascinating, sad, thought provoking. It's befuddling that reading this makes me hate zoos and want to visit one all at the same time.
