Really struggling with this one. To read the reviews you‘d think this was a seismic moment in Ufological history but in truth it‘s dull as ditchwater and contains little or nothing new. In fact, it‘s just a re-hash of old stuff; decades old in many instances. Several weeks in and I‘m still only on page 65. Time to bail, I think. A major disappointment leading me to un-stack her latest on life after death. You can‘t win ‘em all.

I have read two other books by Leslie Kean and enjoyed them immensely. Kean is an investigative reporter who is willing to delve into areas that are generally overlooked. This book about ufos is not just a collection of stories about sightings, it is a thoughtful, measured look at the phenomenon and how it‘s being handled by the US. Several other countries investigate ufo sightings thoroughly, but we don‘t. We should. Five stars.

I wanted to read something diverting and this did the trick. It's an interesting look at UFO phenomena from international and national expert witnesses. It makes no claims other than their is something happening, there is evidence, including radar corroborated pilot testimony, and that it shouldn't be ridiculed but studied. #nonfiction Has anyone here seen something they can't explain?

Basically, you should read this book if you are a skeptic, give this book to anyone who is a skeptic and keep it on your shelf in case you have company at your house who is a skeptic.

Lastly, this is a call to action that we should take seriously. Get involved one way or another.

In short, a group of scientists selected by the CIA advised our government to encourage all agencies within the intelligence community to influence mass media and infiltrate civilian research groups for the purpose of debunking UFOs.
