Some great classics have been posted already so I decided to go in a different direction.
As a trial lawyer I studied the work of the great Roman lawyer Cicero for years. His work was amazing and his systemic approach to persuasion centuries ahead of its time. In many ways it shows how human emotion and the desire for justice have not changed in millennia.
He was influenced by the Greek rhetorician Archias.
