New Super-Man: Coming to America
New Super-Man: Coming to America | Gene Luen Yang

"Teenager Kong Kenan lives in Shanghai with his auto mechanic father and a huge chip on his shoulder. But when Kenan stands up to a super-villain and becomes a national hero, he gets the chance to be much more than a hero. Kenan is about to become one of a new breed of Chinese superheroes, imbued with the powers of their Western namesakes. Suddenly, Kong Kenan has all the powers of a Kryptonian. He's the new Super-man -- and he is not ready for the responsibility. Along with his fellow new heroes in the Justice League of China, Bat-Man and Wonder-Woman, Kenan takes orders from the mysterious Ministry of Self-Reliance, which gave him his powers. And there's more to the Ministry -- and the mysterious Flying Dragon General and his group of 'super villains' -- than meets the eye. Can brash, impulsive and cocky Kong Kenan prove himself worthy of being the New Super-Man after all?" -- Back cover of volume 1.

New Super-Man vol. 2 was even better than the great vol. 1!

Brash teen bully Kong Kenan, given the powers of Superman by the Chinese government, continues to grow into a better person, this time with some help from Clark himself.

We also get to spend more time with Baixi & Deilan, the teen Bat-Man & Wonder Woman of China. I love Baixi & he gets some interesting family drama here & Deilan‘s mythological origin story was so cool!
