I love that the author chose this particular artwork as the #Frontispiece

This was illuminated by #Renaissance #Alchemist, #NicolasFlamel and is an allegorical piece illustrating the transformation of #Mercury as a crucified snake

I'm truly psyched to read this intriguing selection I received from @ChallaF. She did an excellent job of choosing a book I haven't read, yet exactly right up my alley!

Again, kudos ! @TheBookKeepers for organizing and running this book swap. I certainly hope you plan to do so again near future...perhaps with a 'twist' of some sorts...?

bookcollecter @TheBookKeepers I have a possible idea: in honor of 2018 being the Year of the Dog (in Chinese Astrology) participants will have to swap a book that somehow has a connection to dogs wether it be allegorical or literal. What do you think? 🤔 6y
