3.5/5â A quiet but emotional volume. It seems to be relying on the flat trope of a cheery child who makes everything all right, and I'm not convinced that the cruel fate discussed is actually that bad, at least not in the terms the characters used.

Highlight for this volume was definitely a bunch of cursed creatures endeavouring to bake a pie. Of course there was drama and darkness, but somehow the air of enchantment, like a fairy tale in progress, never leaves it feeling too heavy.

Finished vol 4 the other day and I swear the more this story progresses the more sad I get. I cried with this volume, not a blubbering fool crying, but I shed some sentimental tears. Welp let‘s bring on vol 5 #manga

Book 4 isn't on litsy yet so I filed this under book 1, will change later. I am enjoying where this is going but the pace is on the slow side. Not sure if there's a book 5 yet but if there is, I think it would help if I read it asap. Just to keep my momentum going. It's storytime now as Auntie tells teacher about Shiva's "origins" along with some curse revelations #manga
