Pleasures of the Night
Pleasures of the Night | Sylvia Day
3 posts | 7 read | 5 to read
There are sensuous pleasures that can only be tasted in the night . . . He comes to her in the twilight between sleep and consciousness to fulfill her secret desires. Lyssa Bates has never experienced such ecstasy, brought to her by a man whose deep, soul-penetrating blue eyes hold the promise of tempting intimacies and decadent pleasures. But this stranger, this lover, this immortal seducer is only a dream—a phantom of her nocturnal fantasies—until he appears, inexplicably, at her door in the flesh! Lyssa aches for the reality of him, but there is grave danger in surrender. Because Captain Aidan Cross is on a mission, and the passion that consumes them both, body and soul, could have dire consequences in a world of dreams . . . and in the waking one as well.

Pickpick

Sylvia Day is always a fun read. She is great with romance and erotica that has a storyline that is fun and entertaining. This one includes some paranormal stuff that made it super interesting and made me think of the Fever series which I love.

Pickpick

For romance readers who want to skip to the good parts. I was surprised at how much plot/world-building the author was able to do, since 75% of the book is the MCs banging away at each other.

Lyssa is a veterinarian who has trouble sleeping. In her dreams, she meets Aidan, a guardian who protects sleepers from nightmares. Aidan thinks Lyssa is the key with the power to let nightmares into the human world. And it‘s his mission to kill her.
