The 30-Day Money Cleanse: Take control of your finances, manage your spending, and de-stress your money for good | Ashley Feinstein Gerstley
2 posts | 1 read | 4 to read
When were you last happy with your finances? Create lasting happiness with your financial situation not by creating a blistering budget but by living the life you love! Ashley Feinstein Gerstley was working in financial services when she came to the shocking realization that even she was stressed about her personal finances. How could that be, with all her education and experience in dealing with money? Ashley quickly realized that her stress didn't only arise from a lack of knowledge but the way that we as a society treat and talk (or rather don't talk) about our money, and she created a system to turn the entire practice on its head! Through Ashley's system, in just 30 days you will have created a healthier, happier relationship with your money by: Eliminating all money stressors Finally knowing where your money is going Breaking those panic-inducing bad money habits Learning the basics of how and where to invest Making a plan that you can not only live with but enjoy Readers who have tried the 30-Day Money Cleanse have, on average, saved over $950 through the course of the month! Are you ready to cleanse?

This was a good read, but I probably need to re-read it every month in order to keep the momentum going... maybe twice a month. Or every time I go online to Amazon or Etsy...

JanuarieTimewalker13 I‘ve read a ton of financial books, and I have a degree in finance, but on a practical level, I will say Dave Ramsey was the key for me. I wish he would keep his trap shut about politics but his no nonsense approach to finances is right on. I started watching his videos on YT, then I took his financial peace course. He‘s a bit Bible Belt also. Take the good and just run with it. He changed my life. 4y
Kangaj1 We started with Dave Ramsey but now are big fans of YNAB. There is a book called You Need a Budget. They have a software and there are a ton of YouTube videos. 4y
Amandajoy I always read personal finance books with the hopes that this one sticks. It doesn‘t. I will say I agree with @Kangaj1 about YNAB. Their software and app has been immensely helpful. Never really gotten on the Dave Ramsey bandwagon. 4y

De-cluttering is all the rage, but seldom is the focus that led to all the clutter- spending! This is a fantastic way to begin taking control of your finances. Gerstley presents the project in a way most readers will be familiar with- a 30 day challenge. You'll be taking a good hard look at your spending habits, and the true cost of those items. This book will help you set goals and celebrate new financial health.

Scochrane26 Does that mean we have to stop buying books? 😂 4y
wanderinglynn @Scochrane26 books aren‘t “clutter” so I say no! 😂 4y
MidnightBookGirl @Scochrane26 @wanderinglynn Not at all! It's all about spending your money intentionally on the things you want. 4y
