This sort of comment really annoys me. She runs an alternative school for children with behavioural issues, autism & mental health problems. The child she is referring to lost his mum the year before...now he keeps setting fire to stuff. But nope, let‘s just blame the parents for everything. 😠

GingerAntics 🤬 that annoys me. It‘s odd, parents want to blame teachers for everything, and the default for jaded teachers seems to be to blame the parents. For the love, why can‘t we bloody work together. 🤬 4y
Caroline2 @julesG @GingerAntics The author clearly has very little experience of parenting or teaching, her main character becomes a high school teacher by taking a city & guilds certificate at her local college for crying out loud!!! 🙄 😆 seriously?! Do your research love!! 4y

julesG Research?! What's that again? If someone complains, I'll just say I forgot to state that I took artistic license. 4y
Caroline2 @julesG 😆 😉 👍 4y
GingerAntics @Caroline2 oh good grief I hate when authors do that. So the reality of all the work put into becoming a teacher isn‘t important. 🙄 I can see where she comes down on the parents vs teachers blame game in real life. What a lovely person. 4y
GingerAntics @julesG that is SO not an excuse!!! You know how that annoyed the ever living 🤬 out of me!!! 4y
julesG @GingerAntics As it does me. 4y
CoffeeK8 That‘s terrible 🤯 4y
webhau1 I do understand but want to point out that this is on page 40 of an over 400 page book. In this case the parent was to blame as he wasn‘t believing his son. There was actually quite a bit of support for parents and children in this book. The author actually directs you to a place where this kind of care exists and encourages donations. No disrespect intended to your feelings, I just wanted to let people know that much more happens. 3y
