I am reading this with a small group of women. We are through the second lesson and it is going so well!! It is helpful to get the dvd and one leader guide to help with discussions.

I thought this was so very good. Depending on your own experiences different sections will mean more to you. There was one that meant a great deal to me, but I thought they were all good. This book to me really made me think of how the right book at the right time can make such a difference.

Avigail I loved this book, Sarah Addison Allen knows how to write founding families and every book of hers I read makes me hungry. 1y

I enjoyed this. Perfect summer read! A couple nice surprises as the author had a list of suggested books in the back and also thanks the local independent bookstore I bought it from in the acknowledgments.

I loved this book. I liked the whole idea of relating through books, as really I do this all the time. I haven‘t read many of the books that they discuss, but it did make me feel like I should check them out. There were a few things I thought wrapped up a little to cleanly, but it didn‘t matter to me as I could feel the heart of the book. If you like books about books, I think you will like this one.

Crazeedi Sounds interesting!! 3y
webhau1 @Crazeedi I am sure it is a situation of right book at the right time, but I really liked it. 3y

This was a really good book. Look for the authors name if checking it out as there seems to be other books with this title. I listened to it on audio it has a great narrator but I think I would have loved either way. I got this recommendation from the Currently Reading podcast season 3 episode 47 which was a listeners press episode. I have already read a couple of great ones from the episode.

I was browsing at my local library and saw this. I enjoyed Lee Smith‘s book “Dimestore: A Writers Life” and so I thought I would check this out. Although it is titled “The Christmas Letters” I feel it is a good novella for any time. Just in case though I did read it while drinking some leftover peppermint mocha coffee.

I enjoyed this book. Trigger warnings for depression but I feel if you just read the inside flap you would be prepared for that. I appreciated the overall message. This is the first I read by this author and I really liked his writing style. I do have a book flight suggestion, there is an older movie from 1980 on HBO Max called Inside Moves with John Savage.

I really enjoyed this. I listened on audio and it had excellent narration. It is a romance but there is more to it as there is depth. One of the main characters is a hospice nurse and there is compassion. The two main characters are dealing with some hard things, but at the same time there is humor, bright colors and great friends. My second read by this author and I have enjoyed them both!

These books are always so comforting to me. Recently I have been listening to the audio version of these to go to sleep. Just so great and the version I listened to also I included Esthers Gift and Mitford Snowmen and some beautiful music included. I will always love these and although they are fictional, the author helps you to remember that nothing is too small to take to God and that you can just simply talk to Him.

I have been saving the last couple books in the Mitford series for awhile even though I have read and listened to the first several books in the series many times. I enjoyed this book very much. Mitford books are like old friends to me, and every time I go back there it is like a family reunion.

From the acknowledgments. I can relate as I think the best tip for parenting is to find good friends to share experiences with and to help one another.

TrishB Me and my best friend have two kids the same age (she has a third where I don‘t though!) we have always been our own little support team through it all. Didn‘t always have the answers, but sometimes just someone to talk too. 4y

I enjoyed this book. A tribute to the relationship of a Granddaughter & Grandmother. One thing that really stood out to me was how she wanted her to place value in herself and other women. A couple of the quotes I liked: “ When the earth is cracking behind your feet, you go forward. One foot in front of the other” “If you are having a rotten day, go buy yourself an ice cream soda and a new hat”. Enjoyable and fast read.

I enjoyed this book. I love how JoJo Moyes writes. I know there was some controversy in regards to the Book Woman of Troublesome creek. I have read both books and I found them to be very different. Historical Fiction can have overlaps and especially when the authors research the same subject. I found them both unique. I will continue to read more of her work.

Another Reece pick that I have enjoyed! I have to say she knows how to pick them. I liked this book. I loved how the scents were described and how they told a story. It made me a remember an english assignment in high school where the teacher talked about smelling something and writing a story about what it made you think of. For example, Vick‘s vapor rub, chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon, fall leaves..etc. I love how the author tells a story
