The title and overview of this novel made me think it would be filled with twists, but sadly there were very few. This did not build suspense, and only made me want to skip the boring parts. Characters weren't easy to relate to. The ending was a big let down.
Not an entirely new premise, but liked the idea of a YA spin on it. It kept me reading, but this one lacked something I couldn't put my finger on - it had tension and suspense, but it didn't leave me breathless like books where I'm more vested (in either the plot or the characters). Still good though

Episode 1 of Behind the Keyboard with Nicolle and Cynthia featured Eileen Cook talking about her book and her approach to writing in general. Great webinar and she read a scene from the beginning. I really want to read it! #ya #podcast #authorwebinar Here is the video: https://youtu.be/J0FLCTFuYUI
3/5 ⭐ A fun, if at times frustrating, take on 'Strangers on a Train'
Well this one sure sucked me in fast!!
Spending the day reading and relaxing before heading back tomorrow. I had a work filled break as I worked on my kitchen and dining room updating project. It looks AMAZING, but it wasn‘t restful.
Book 20: This was such a letdown! I can‘t believe the author didn‘t explore/use the fact that her MC is a pathological liar AND a manipulator aside from like 2 scenes. It would have made this book so much better.
Her book With Malice is one of my all time favorites, so I'm excited to be starting this one!
