“Goodness is rewarded, and selfishness is punished.”
The Talking Eggs is a folktale about a kind-hearted girl who helps an old woman and is rewarded with magical eggs that bring good fortune.
This story can be used to teach themes of kindness, generosity, and the importance of treating others well.
#BloomingBibliophiles Day 13: One of the things that attracted me to this folktale, Talking #Eggs is that it reminded me of fairy tales of old where things make simple sense: good and bad are clearly defined and delineated. One is aware of the order of the universe, there are no gray areas. And the evil ones always get their comeuppance in the end. My detailed review here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-W6
“She began to cry because she didn‘t have anywhere to go”
I would read this story to 2nd and 3rd graders. They would be able to pay attention and be able to read along. They would love a story like this one in the class.

“for the rest of their lives Rose and her mother tried to find that strange old woman‘s cabin and the talking eggs, but they could never find that place again.”
published 1989. this book is about a talking egg. I really like the use of characters in this book. The little girl and the older woman. The older woman brings the child to a farm. then the rabbits were dancing and the little girl was having a blast.
