#lae3414sp19 This NF picture book written by April Sayre and illustrated by Steve Jenkins makes for a great partner read. Students can learn all about squirrels and their actions through precise and rhythmic sentences. I love this book because every student most likely has come in contact with a squirrel in their life.

mluter This is a great book that contains science principles! This lesson plan uses the book to focus on the habitat and diets of squirrels. Students then can make their own models of these things and then conduct experiments to see if their model could hold up against a squirrel. http://www.scienceisforkids.com/squirrels-fall-science/ UDL 4.1 and 5.2 ESOL 35 and 39 (edited) 5y
