We had a super busy day today, and now I'm aching. Still on the mend from a fall a week ago. So, now that the boys are in bed, I'm going to get cozy and start a new book from the library. River is snoring very loudly. #BeaglesOfLitsy #SaturdayNightReading #NSLittens

Could not wait to hang out with the Crows again! This book follows the quiet, bookish Jace as she falls in love with a Protector after he asks her to translate some Russian for him. I love Jace, but while Laurenston got most of her facts straight when it came to introverts, she did call Jace “antisocial” which is incorrect. I listened to the audiobook this time around and was not thrilled with the narrator. Going back to paper for the conclusion.

Such a stupid unrelated cover for an amazing book series with hilarious, strong, and memorable characters! I can't wait for the next installment.

I finished this book on my walk today. It was much stronger than the first in the series! Part of that may be the audio, I didn't do that format with the first one. Some of the very casual language and often clunky dialogue came off a lot better with someone speaking it. Also the first book was bogged down with a bunch of exposition - although I enjoyed the world-building, it was better when the plot could just sail along without explanation.

I haven't been on Litsy as much lately. Although I'm still reading a bunch, I'm also distracted by things like trying to buy a house. Still going for my lunchtime audiowalks as often as I can, though!

Absolutely adoring this series by shelly laurenston. Smart, witty, hilarious urban fantasy based on Scandinavian mythology. Just brilliant. Also fits day 6 #riotgrams #currentread and another book checked of a book challenge I'm doing.

Sexy introverts! The audio got me through the first round of cooking and wrapping randily—I mean handily. 😉

💖 this book! Introverted heroine and nerdy yet tough hero. Love the girl power aspect and the overall world building.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Second book is just as great as the first. Jace and Ski are both great characters.
