I would definitely use this in my classroom of older elementary kids. I would especially use this when teaching my kids about past presidents and how they affected the United States. I would also read this when talking about this decade in US history.
This is a biography book about the life of JFK. The authors writes about how at a young age he loved to read and play sports. Jack wrote his own book that became published, and he even was in the military and how during that time we went through a lot. He was a war pilot in the military. Later in his life, he ran for congress and then eventually president of the USA. This book includes true facts about his personal life/presidential life.
A book telling of JFK's life in a creative and interesting way. Using quotes and facts and fun pictures while describing what he overcame to achieve all he did before his tragic death. Great for children to learn about history.
Jack's Path of Courage by Doreen Rappaport (biography, published 2010) tells the story of JFK's life from childhood to the presidency. This book, like Doreen's others, includes beautiful illustrations and quotes and facts to portray his life. It touches on his struggles growing up in his brother's shadows and his physical difficulties. But, it also shows how he overcame these challenges to become a loved US president.
I do not think younger children would be able to listen to the whole story. I think this book is better for older children.
Jack‘s Path Of Courage by Rappaport/Tavares. I did not even know JFK‘s name was Jack that was something new I leaned while reading this book. The Illustrations in this book are very realistic. JFK inspired people all over the globe. JFK was suddenly shot in November 1963.
