Classic fairytale in the making. My review on the second Ivy Lovely adventure found here: https://bookingitwithsandra.wordpress.com/2021/01/19/the-crowns-of-croswald-the-...

wordslinger42 I loved this one! It had some mixed reviews on NetGalley, but I ended up being so glad I was able to review it 😊 3y
LinesUponAPage @wordslinger42 have you read #3 yet? I loved the first two, I‘m afraid that the next one is going to let me down. I want to buy them for my granddaughters, I‘m just not sure if i should wait for #4 and buy them altogether... 3y
wordslinger42 @Lifeisasnap I haven't even read book 2 yet! I hope this is one of those series where the books get better and better as you go along! I probably would buy the first 3 and not wait, but I'm not very patient when it comes to buying books 😅 3y
LinesUponAPage @wordslinger42 i feel like book number 2 is better than the first book and i thought the first book was good. It had more world building in it and more adventure. I hope you enjoy it when you read it! (edited) 3y

“It was the size of a fingernail, smooth and polished, slightly oval like an egg. It was pearlescent and absolutely mesmerizing. On the narrower end, there were little etch marks around the parameter. A soft golden line pointed from the pole down toward the little etch marks; as she moved, the golden line drifted around on the surface of the pearly egg. She couldn‘t touch the line—it was as if the line were projected from the inside of the sphere”

This book continues the adventures of Ivy Lovely and her friends. It‘s fast paced and full of action. I love the whole world of Croswald and I love the how some things are similar to Harry Potter e.g. The Town reminds me of Hogsmeade ❤️ All in all, this is a great book and I can‘t wait to move on to book 3. ARC received from NetGalley

So I really wanted to love this book. I had enjoyed the first book and looked forward to continuing the story. In this second book, the story picks up right where it left off. However, nothing happened until the last third of the book and until that point I was getting bored. I still plan to read on the series as the ending has me wanting to know more of what happens. But so far this book in the series is not my favorite. Aug 13/20. #doublespin
