Just a little vent session. An author I read and enjoy posted to their group about why she feels you should replace your kindle with a kobo or an iPad. I info shared about some of things that went into my decision to keep a kindle bc hey I spent hours researching so why not make sure on this very the zon is evil post that I throw it out there for others. I was snarked back at. When did we lose the ability to even discuss ereader merits?! 👇

BethM I get that they‘re an evil empire and if/when you can afford to not give them money go for it. But increasingly we throw the baby out with the bath water. We can‘t always make the choice to avoid them for a variety of reasons. So we shouldn‘t assume someone is an asshole for keeping their kindle 😂 Life has nuances. Ugh rant over 😂 2d
Ruthiella Sorry to hear that! I‘m keeping my Kindle. It‘s how I access my library books. 2d
BethM @Ruthiella thanks. Library lending was actually part of my point. Kobo has come a long way but they can‘t compare content wise. And don‘t get me started on why an iPad is different than an ereader 😂 2d

TheBookHippie What exactly are they doing for their community ? Maybe concentrate on that and not whether you have a kindle? I do have personally absolute NO I will not purchase from people and places, that‘s my belief, you‘re allowed to have your own belief, what I or anyone else thinks is moot. But yes, nuance has died. I have my old trusty old old old kindle too, it‘s how I get library books as well. 2d
TheBookHippie @BethM I cannot use an iPad and ummm Apple and Amazon same same. 2d
5feet.of.fury @BethM not to mention plenty of indie authors depends on KU or kindle direct so can‘t win ‘em all 2d
