Sophia, Princess Among Beasts
Sophia, Princess Among Beasts | James Patterson
6 posts | 7 read | 15 to read
A princess who has lost her mother and father finds herself in a terrifying world that urgently needs a queen. Sophia is smart, beautiful, and accomplished, a beloved princess devoted to the people and to reading books. The kingdom is hers, until she is plunged into a nightmarish realm populated by the awful beasts she read about as a child. The beasts are real. And so is the great army marching on her castle. The people look to Sophia for protection. They will all perish unless she can unlock an ancient secret as profound as life and death itself. Sophia, Princess Among Beasts is a fabulous adventure, and a stunning mystery. Here again is proof of why James Patterson is the world's most trusted storyteller.

I didn‘t enjoy the book at all. I‘ve never read a James P book before, but I do know he writes many books a year so they mostly have to be good! However, this book made no sense. The MC was not like able at all. Certain events made no sense. 2 characters even said “I don‘t know why this happens but it does”. It felt like someone told James “female lead characters are popular right now so you should write a mini fantasy novel”. #bookaweekchallenge

Like the book. Not your typical James Patterson book. If you like the Jester you will love this one.

The description really got me excited to read this when it came out. While I enjoyed the story I just couldn‘t shake the feeling that it was missing something. Overall it was an easy read but it left me wanting something more added overall.

Ugh! I did it again! This book practically whispered my name over and over. I swear, I fought and fought the temptation to purchase bc I‘m trying to whittle down myTBR books and reviews!! But it was 40% off!! 😳

Sweetkokoro I keep looking at this at work and the title alone sounds so interesting. But i have yet to pick it up and actually see what the story is about haha. 5y

"Life after life had truly begun. And it had been worth dying for."

A quick and easy read. It was a little confusing at times trying to figure out what exactly was going on. The story felt rushed and there was so much more that could've been explored. Overall I did enjoy it but I don't think it was quite what I was expecting.
