The protagonist is an alcoholic disillusioned with fame. It's one of the most emotionally devastating novels I've ever read & I always recommend it to people who were annoyed by OTR. The two biographies are of two influential writers, both of them murdered by fascist governments. As someone👇

JanuarieTimewalker13 I‘m sorry for your loss too. I totally understand it also, I lost mine at 21. Thank God I had a wonderful aunt, but still, no one is like your mom❤️ I felt guidance-less. In fact, that never has passed, and the hole in your heart never fully closes. I want to check out Big Sur🌊 6y
