I was able to figure out how everything was going to end early on, but I kept trying to finish it. It felt really repetitive to me and then the ending was unfortunately the ending I expected 1/4 into the book. Says it‘ll be a Netflix show but don‘t see how it‘ll work out. Was disappointed because I liked Local Woman Missing a lot

October 5, 2022 First, I wanted to shout out my mom: Happy Birthday Mom! Second, I wanted to announce that I finished the book. Yup. I finished the book. Sigh I had a hunch that Will was part of the whole planning process to make it look like Sadie had killed Morgan but I wasn't quite sure until the end. I'm glad that the ending was happy. I WAS SHOCKED but at the same time guessed that Sadie would live. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

October 4, 2022 I am scared as hell!!! Excuse my language. I am scared as heck. The more I read, the more scared I get. I know that this is a thriller book and that the author's motive is to make the reader read the whole book BUT I am peeing in my pants just thinking about what will happen next. The ppl that could be person(s) of interest are: Otto, Imogen, Will, or this woman named 'Sadie'.

October 4, 2022 It is only the beginning of October and I started reading this book yesterday. YESTERDAY. omg Mary Kubica, imo, has made this book sound so creepy in a good way, that I cannot stop reading it... There are so many characters (Will, Sadie, Tate, Otto, Imogen, Camille, Mouse???, and some others) to keep track of. One who reads it needs to follow the events carefully because events move fast. I feel like I reached the climax

What a wild ride! Learning a lot about geography from books. Maine has over 2000 islands. Sadies, Will and their two sons move to one of the islands to live in a house previously owned by Will‘s deceased sister and their scary, goth daughter Imogene is now their responsibility. This book has unreliable narratives on steroids, nothing is what it seems. When the horrible truth is revealed I realize once again why I love psychological thrillers

Ugh. The book was slightly confusing from the get go, but the part that I rly disliked came later on. Without spoiling it for anyone, let‘s just say the book mentions mental health in a very stigmatizing, unoriginal way. It‘s unnecessary and honestly kinda annoying. Do better, writers.

Nonetheless, towards the end the story picked up traction and still managed to surprise me, but doesn‘t necessarily mean I liked the plot twist. Meh.

Wow! If you love twisty thrillers this is a great pick🔥 Took a while for the twist to actually sink in. I may or may not have talked to myself when it all came together “what!?!” “Holy crap!” “Wait, what!?!”🙃

Poor Sadie. She has been moved to Maine with her husband and two sons to take guardianship of a house and niece under tragic circumstances. It is clear from the beginning that Sadie is grappling with some issues from her past and it‘s only going to get worse, especially when she meets the troubled niece and a murder occurs in their neighbourhood.
This was unpredictable and absolutely terrifying. You just never really know people do you?

This was really good. It kept me wanting to keep reading, wanting to know what would happen. The story is (mostly) told from three different viewpoints, Sadie being the main one. I didn‘t think Sadie was particularly likeable. There were (of course) twists at the end. I had figured out one small portion of what would happen at the end, but I had other theories that were wrong and there was far more than what I‘d guessed.

One woman's struggles, another's obsession, and a little girl named Mouse collide in this hypnotic and complex narrative. Told from multiple perspectives, The Other Mrs. has strong pacing and incredibly complex characters. This story is hypnotic and well-sculpted and I was hooked from the first page.

Kubica is a master at this genre and this is my favourite book of hers to date.
