Ok, I just didn't like this one. Interesting premise, pretty strong main character...but I think there are much better handled fairy tale updates out there. I believe this is a series starter, so maybe there is more depth later, but I doubt it. I have issues with the family treating the MC like a leper for most of her life and then everything is just dandy, and I still dislike the greatest hits of fairy tales approach. Disappointing.

My 4yo is enjoying this but I'm not, particularly. I think the author is trying too hard to cram in every fairy tale that could work with this concept - "hmmm, my MC is immune to magic and any spell cast on her rebounds to the caster. Wouldn't it be interesting if she stumbled into..."
