The girls and I finished RETURN TO GONE-AWAY this afternoon — it‘s the sequel to GONE-AWAY LAKE, a delightful middle grade novel about a pair of cousins — Portia is 11 and Julian is 12 — who find a row of derelict summer cottages on the shore of a dried-up lake. I adored any book by Elizabeth Enright as a kid, and I‘m so happy that my girls, who are 9 and almost 6, loved these two. #kidlit #raisingreaders #howjessreadsin2019
