I think I‘ve listened to or read all of the Lilian Jackson Braun Cat Who series, but I didn‘t remember this one. The Cat Who Talked Turkey features the town of Brr‘s 200th anniversary celebration and Gary Pratt and his Black Bear Cafe. We finally meet Mrs Pratt (she‘s wonderful!), and we hear a new one-man show by Qwill on the Great Storm of 1913.

2004 for #192025

Librarybelle I think I read one in the series many years ago - I cannot remember which one! Good series for the challenge! 2y
mabell @Librarybelle This is my favorite series to have in the car. George Guidall does a terrific job at narration, and I enjoy the stories. They aren‘t mysteries that you‘re reading to find out what what happens as much as savoring the tale. Excellently written (Braun was truly talented) and educational on different topics in each story, without in any way being pedantic. I start the car, and the story comes on, and I‘m instantly more relaxed. 😊 2y
Librarybelle I love a series like that, especially on audio! 2y

As always, Lillian Jackson Braun delivered a fun cozy mystery. The Cat Who... series is always charming and fun and a great palate cleanser for anyone into cozy mysteries. Unique, interesting characters, a solid lead character, and adorable cat sidekicks. It‘s not brain food, no, but the series is like spending a few hours with old friends.

1) The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.
2) Murder, She Wrote. Total Jessica Fletcher junkie!
3) Only if STL is playing. Go Cards!
4) Hmmm. Probably nothing special. It‘s going to be a boring weekend for food. 😕
5) Yup. He was one of the main reasons I love reading so much.

My last few books were a little...serious. Maybe it‘s time for a good ole cozy mystery? I‘ve blown through my #JuneTBR so I don‘t see why not!

A 🦃 in more ways than #emojinov . Unfortunately the last 6 or 7 books of Lilian Jackson Braun seemed written by a whole other writer. One of the good first cozy mystery series. Do try the first books, Koko, Yum Yum and Qwill are worth meeting.

The main event actually got done before the stuffing this year. Thank goodness we got a new meat thermometer. Oh and injected this bad boy with melted butter and he tastes so good-says the hubby I'm a vegetarian! #litsycooks
