The one in which Lila and Liz use each other. Oh, and there‘s a horse! 🐴 Lila gets a fancy new horse named Thunder from her dad, but isn‘t very interested in his day-to-day care. Liz LOVES horses and agrees to write an article about Lila & Thunder for the school paper. Lila gets Liz to share her homework and Liz goes to the stables every day to ride Thunder. Jess gets jealous of how much time Liz & Lila are spending with each other. Oh, and ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 There‘s a sweet but poor stable boy named Ted that Jess has a crush on. Liz accidentally spills the tea to the Unicorns about Ken & Amy kissing at a party, & Amy is so upset she accidentally on purpose tells Lila that Liz is entering Thunder in a competition at the stables. There‘s a confrontation but it all works out in the end. Ted rides Thunder in the competition instead (and wins!) and decides to buy Thunder from Lila, who is by this point ⬇️ 2mo

Spoiled Lila Fowler receives a horse from her father & basks in the attention. Elizabeth started horseback riding lessons & while she‘s never gotten along with Lila, will do anything to ride & visit Thunder. Soon, she‘s helping with homework, spilling the secret of Amy & Ken‘s first kiss & doing all the barn chores without letting on that Thunder isn‘t actually hers! Lila takes it too far & Liz stands up to her & it even works out for Thunder!

JenlovesJT47 Ya know, I just read the first 4 SVT graphic novels recently and Amy and Ken have a thing in those, and I swear I have zero recollection of this in the originals and I thought it was something they changed for the graphic novels. Good to know there‘s actually continuity between the series! Actually other than the modern upgrades with the twins having cell phones they are pretty faithful adaptations. You‘re making me want to do a read through of ⬇️ 4mo

JenlovesJT47 SVT but I don‘t have access to my collection right now ☹️. Can‘t wait to get to SVU, I‘ve only ever read 2 or 3 of them. Pardon my nerding out about Sweet Valley. It‘s nice to chat with someone who shares my obsession! 😅 4mo

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I had forgotten about the Amy/Ken connection too! And I don‘t remember Todd not being in these books! I am having so much fun re-reading these! I‘m going on a bit of a hunt later today to try to track down some missing ones so I‘ll keep an eye out for you, too! I loved the SVU books— though they feel far away now! 🤣 4mo

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I had no luck at the used bookstore by my dad‘s house— no Sweet Valley at all! I have all@the SVT books, but none of the jr high ones, I am missing the unicorn club 20, 21, 23 and 45 of the senior year series! Which ones are you missing and I‘ll keep an eye out too! 4mo

JenlovesJT47 I have duplicates of some of the SVH Jr ones, once I can get to my collection I can send them to you. I‘m missing 35-47 of Senior Year. I‘m missing quite a few from some of the series and I need to make a list. I have all but 4 or 5 of SVU. I‘m hoping I can get to them soon. It‘s a situation where I don‘t have access to them at the moment because my husband (we‘re separated) is holding some of my stuff hostage 😐 4mo

JenlovesJT47 Sounds like you have most of all of the series which is great! I only own about 10 or so of SV Kids. 4mo

JenlovesJT47 Oh one more thing — if I‘ve never mentioned it, they do have quite a few Sweet Valley books available to read for free on openlibrary.org — they actually have tons of stuff on there and I use it all the time. A great resource when you‘re looking for stuff they don‘t have at the library! 🤓 4mo
