I couldn‘t sleep last night so I finally got up around 2:00am and picked up the next book in the series I was reading, usually that will help me get to sleep. By around 8:30 in the morning I had finished the book!
It‘s about a boy who moved to Wyoming and soon stumbled upon a secret zoo of mythical creatures. Lots of mischievous creatures and mysteries to solve.

🐓Continues directly after 1st book.
🐓Faster-paced.
🐓Good humour; perfect for youngsters.
🐓Good friendships & character interaction.
🐓Disappointed w/lack of plot progression in regards to MC‘s family.
🐓Slightly predictable.
🐓Magical creatures have fun & strange personas.
🐓Prose is flowing but slightly bland.
🐓South Asian character has stereotypical qualities I didn‘t care for, but they‘re vague.
🐓4/5.

Chai=tea, so by writing “chai tea” you‘re literally saying “tea tea.” So, unless you‘re into breasty beverages, can we please be accurate and simply say “chai?” This is probably one of my biggest fucking pet peeves. Writers and potential writers: this is not a difficult thing to get correct AT ALL!! Please do your research!

Been enjoying this. Good humour and pacing. Mystery surrounding Logan's parents are getting defined slowly, but they haven't been forgotten, which is something I was afraid would happen.
