pickThis is the alternate US history, slightly fantastical 1893 World‘s Fair, reimagined Chicago YA book you never knew you needed. Political intrigue, suffragettes, danger, adventure, betrayal, friends and enemies, a bit of magic, and, really, ALL the things. And if a lot of what happens is exactly what you would expect to happen, well, that‘s ok, it‘s an entertaining read. The first in the series, I‘m intrigued enough I‘ll likely read more.
