Step out of the winter chill and into the warmth of Fool's Gold, California, the charming small-town setting for a new holiday novella from New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery Famous former NFL stars don't date single working moms like Bailey Voss. She'll allow herself to daydream about Kenny Scott's muscles and killer smile, but wanting more would lead to post-holiday regret. Then Kenny volunteers to run a toy drive with Bailey, and she learns that he's not just hothe's also generous, funny, nice. The whole packagetantalizingly out of reach. The ache of past loss reminds Kenny why he needs to avoid getting too close to anyone. Especially to a gorgeous redhead and her adorable little girl. Mess it up, and he'd lose them both. Yet Kenny can only resist Bailey for so long. And as festive spirit spreads throughout the town, he's all wrapped up in Bailey's sweet, sexy kisses and determined to make this the first of many Christmases together

I thought I would join the #litsyatoz challenge and start with A.... but all of these are on my #tbr shelves and I don't know which to read. Any suggestions?? #readingchallenge 🤷‍♀️

annahenke I liked both A Tyranny of Petticoats and And I Darken. 8y
Reviewsbylola The only one I have read is All the Stars in the Heavens. I really enjoyed the story, however I think it should have been 200 pages shorter with a more condensed focus. 8y
Purplerosiepage @annahenke @Reviewsbylola Thanks for the recs- this might be a TBR pile for January. 😀 8y

Cute little novella. I don't usually count novellas as books, but then again, I don't usually read novellas. I guess I can make an arbitrary decision that anything over 100 pages counts a a book.

Jemgirl2014 Out of all of the football stars in Fool's Gold Kenny is my favorite. Imagine my disappointment when he got a novella instead of a full length book. I still enjoyed his story but I wanted more. ☺ 7y
