Here are the four to read in May for this challenge. All of these I have been wanting to read. Just needed some incentive. 💜📖📚
#Chatterday2025 @AllDebooks
After a coffee, yogurt and doggy cuddles, I started in on some cleaning. Cleaned the floors on the main level, ran the vacuum upstairs. Taking a short break then off to clean the master bath. So exciting. NOT! At least I have an audiobook to keep me company. Later, I am off to get horsey cuddles, then a late lunch with my barn buddies.

If I have time to drive to Wahalla today and pick up The Stardust Grail for #LitsySciFiBookClub, I might start that this weekend.

Sticking with the nature theme. ❤️🐦🦩

1. The flowers at the office are blooming away.
2. My neighbor's roses, that I can see from my back, are going crazy this year.
3. First year growing things in a container garden
4. The puppy found the door stop. He had me in stitches. He figured out that he could touch it with his paw and it made noise. Then he would jump back and bark at it.
5. Audiobooks on slow days at work.

I made this template on the computer and printed it out. I'm going to try it out for May and see if I like it better than the handwritten one I normally use. I still love the tactical nature of writing.
#BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
So this one is a low pick for me. While I liked the characters, it needed a stronger plot. This book is all about the smut. Which is OK, but I need a good plot to go along with it. I may or may not read the next book in the series. It will depend on my mood. 3.5🌟 ##SeriesLove2025 @Andrew65 #Read2025 @DieAReader #LitsyLoveReads @Read4life @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks #ShelfSweeper @Tove_Reads
My May #BookSpin selection will be a book in a series for the #SeriesLove2025 challenge. My #DoubleSpin selection will be an Impulse read. I'll make my Book Spin board next.
@TheAromaofBooks
In April I read both my #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin selections. I was able to get six bingos. So close to a blackout. Maybe in May. 🤞❤️📖❤️📕❤️📚❤️
@TheAromaofBooks
#ThreeListThursday @dabbe #TLT
I scored better than last week, though not by much. There were so many great books in this group that spanned totally different genres. My favorites are (not in any order):
The Clan of the Cave Bear
Good Omens
Black Beauty
Emma
Matilda
The Hobbit
LOTR
Dune
The Pillars of the Earth

Hard to believe we are 1/4 of the way through 2025! 🤯
Unless something really hits me over the head, Binding 13 will be my top pick for the first half of the year. I still think about that story. Still two months to go, so it could happen. We'll see what May has to bring.
❤️📖📚
#ReadingBracket2025
I am tracking my reading on a spreadsheet. Here is where I stand for the year and my April recap. My goal is 150 books this year. On track so far.
May kind of snuck up on me. I have two books I want to finish today from April. The plan for May is to work on challenges, buddy reads, book series I have started but not finished and reading books that I own.

I thought about the Night Circus too. Both are great books. If you haven't read either, I recommend them both.
#WeeklyFavorites @Read4life
My favorite book for the last of April was Rival by Penelope Douglas. My favorite for the month is Wild Love but Eleanor and Park was a close second.

I am finally feeling up to getting back to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. The next book to read in the series is Lover Mine. Which I am going to read in May. Is anyone interested in staying on the tag list? Let me know if you would like to be added.

1️⃣ I remember my Mom would boil water and add cinnamon sticks when the house got dry in the winter. I especially loved it around the holidays. Now, cinnamon always makes me think of Christmas and family visits.
2️⃣ I remember sitting in my Dad's lap and poking him when he nodded off while reading to me. It is one of my first memories.

Here is my tentative list for the #ShelfSweeper readathon in May. In addition, there will be my #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin to read also. It will be a busy reading month. Hopefully there will be some stellar books.

This is my #BOTM choice for May. I didn't realize until I checked out that this book is a limited edition. Wahoo!!
❤️📕
I love Douglas's writing style and how she develops the characters. This book certainly fits in that description of great plot and characters. My only miff with this one is the ending dragged. There was a point about 7/8 thru that would have made a better ending. Still enjoyed despite this. 4🌟 #Read2025 @DieAReader
The votes are in and the June selection for #LitsySciFiBookClub #LSFBC is The Stardust Grail by Yume Kitasei. The US price on Amzon is $14.99. My library doesn't have a digital or audio copy. I hope they have the physical book. I haven't checked other sites for the book. Hopefully, it will be less other places.

Here are a few questions to start our discussion of April's selection Rabbits by Terry Mills. Everyone is welcome to comment.
My thoughts:
1. I understand most. Some worked really well others not so much.
2. Yes, very disorganized. To the point it distracted from the story.
3. Yes and No. While I got why the book ended as it did, I think it needed to be more fleshed out, but I thought that about the characters too.

I read this for the #LitsySciFiBookClub
Some of the story felt like a cross between Ready Player One and Tron with lots of techy details, political intrigue and other things. However, I found that it jumped around so much it made it hard to keep the plot straight and there was too much stuff going on. 2.5 - 3 🌟 #Read2025 @DieAReader

##MentalHealthMonday @Kerrbearlib
It was a long Monday. I got a lot accomplished, so that made me feel good. I had a mostly pain-free day, which is always a good thing. Just enjoying some down time.
This is the second book in the Mayhem series and I was expecting another great story since I enjoyed the first one. Unfortunately, this one fell flat for me. Both of the MCs acted immature for their ages and they annoyed me. Not sure if I will continue this series. 2.5 - 3🌟
