A dark, sad, hopeful, beautifully written memoir about mental health, childhood, and growing up not knowing what‘s wrong with you. Maybe the best ‘mental health memoir‘ I‘ve ever read, with a lot of lines that I think will stay with me word for word for a long time.

Worth being aware this contains precise weights the author was at at certain times which is a 😕 for me in books about eating disorders, so worth knowing if you want to read it

I‘ve always loved memoirs, especially those about people with mental illness. But what really hit me with this book was how closely her justification for getting tattoos mirrors my own.

This is a such a well written memoir about living with mental health issues. The author describes her life of dealing with mental illness and anorexia and bulimia and how she struggled to accept herself and the things she went through. She talks about medications and treatments and is so relatable to anyone who has dealt with any type of mental illness because she is so candid and honest. This is a very important book to read.

This book is definitely relatable. It was like glancing into a mirror as I read about some of the author's experiences. Which was to be expected, as it is an account of her living with her BPD. I got this book shortly after my diagnosis. Definitely falls into today's category of #manicmonday. Even though it is not one of those times for me, as I am at the opposite end of the spectrum these days. #MagicalMarch @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Read in part of @bookriot Read Harder Challenge 2016 task (book with MC has a mental illness). i wanted to like it more. I love memoirs. Just could connect with the reading style. But here's a 👍 to reading more diversity. #readharder
