This is the World was the last book I managed to finish for the July 2020 #BookSpinBingo. I read 6 titles, 1 of which was a spin, and STILL didn‘t finish the one book I had already started before Jul 1 😂 I blame the library reopening and giving me 15 new books in 2 weeks 😁

TheAromaofBooks Those incoming library books can be dangerous!!! 5y
rabbitprincess @TheAromaofBooks I made sure to include some of them on the bingo this month to disarm them 🤣 5y
TheAromaofBooks Nice strategy! 5y

Gorgeously illustrated and fun to read aloud, even if just to yourself 🤪

Miroslav Sasek's bright, colourful illustrations of cities around the world are how I imagine the characters in #PennyLane. (Sadly, he did not illustrate Liverpool. An oversight on his part.)

I was introduced to Miroslav Sasek's work by a calendar featuring his images of London. This is the World is an omnibus of all of his This Is... books, with endnotes to add updates as needed. The books were intended for children but can be enjoyed by grownups too ☺️
