I tried but I just can't, I've actively avoided this book today, so it's time to stop. I like Bear's writing and military sci-fi, but this doesn't ring true, too full of fake sounding military jargon and too many military cliches.

I‘ll be sorting through this for quite a while. So much to unravel. It‘s all peripheral to what I read but nothing I‘ve read before. I love the Wonder Woman and Poe. I‘ve been working my way through Lovecraft this year so I‘m super excited about the Cthulhu short stories. Never heard of the Gibson & Bear but they look like something I‘d buy. Plus there‘s pencils, bookmarks & candy! No wonder it was so heavy! ##Thanks! #HalloweenGoesPostal
War Dogs is a super weird hard sci-fi, but in an incredible way. It makes you feel the best kind of strange - definitely check this book out!!!
