I have recently been inspired to start writing haikus after reading the thoroughly entertaining ones that the awesome @DebinHawaii has come up with for our buddy read of Mansfield Park. This short book is available on kindle unlimited and gives a history of a famous Japanese poet and the origins of haiku. It‘s a quick read and I‘d recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about poetry. 4⭐️

Interesting enough. Learned a bit about tanka and the origins of haiku, along with Basho. Though informative, didn‘t really keep me engaged.
