Very good. What would you do for freedom? What does freedom even mean? With beautifully lyrical prose, this book poses questions of old while telling the stories of the men. Surprisingly fast read with Le Clerc dangling a good hook which caught me like a hungry little trout.
Coach and Dex want to walk (not pose), as we listen to Free Men. Set in 1789, a mix of Cold Mountain & The Revenant. Le Clerk, tracking diverse murderers, is close so goes it a-foot: "I feel a frisson at the image of a man striking off into the deep forest, hunting the human temperament." #dogsoflitsy #rescuedogs #dexterlove #coachlove
I'm loving the audio enough that I needed the book, too. So I had to pick up some others, of course!
Great voices, set in unexplored early America with diverse voices. Trying to figure it out, is this a quest book? Isn't the story of America always a quest? Narrators are excellent.
