Every week when I go with my client to physical therapy they have a new book of the week sitting on the coffee table. Last week the book was Dietgirl by Shauna Reid and the book you see above it this weeks book of the week. I have never read or heard of this book or the author but....I would love to be sitting on the beach just like she is on the cover right now!!! Anyone know this book?

RebelReader I don't know the book or the author, but I'm right with you on wanting to be on the beach. Freezing rain and snow here again today! Where is spring? 😬 7y

Pickpick

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fairly predictable, yet still a good beach read. Abby may not be the most relatable character, but Bobby had me laughing out loud. The ending made the entire book worth the minimal effort. Good read if you want something light without a huge commitment.

I've been too busy to get a lot of reading done lately. Instead, I've been working on house renovations. Like this one, my ensuite bathroom.

Hoping to be able to relax a bit today though and get a little bit of reading in. Fingers crossed!

Another picture of the park where I spent most of my day reading. This is my happy place.

Sue That looks beautiful!! Where in the world are you? 8y
GirlInGreyBoots I live on the Canadian prairies. It's been a rainy summer so everything is green and lush instead of yellow and dry like most years. 8y

It's a gorgeous day to read in the park behind my house. So I'm taking the day off to read and relax.

LauraBeth What a beautiful place to read! 8y
GirlInGreyBoots It's very peaceful. We just moved to this area last fall and this is the first summer we've been able to enjoy this park. It's wonderful! 8y

Grey clouds are moving in. No more gardening for me today. Time to grab a coffee and my book!

"When you really love someone, you don't let more than a day go by before you say you're sorry, and if you're really smart, you bring food with you when you do."

Mehso-so

The book was ok for a summer read. One you should pick up when you just want a story for escape. The characters didn't make me want to invest in them and become part of the story.
