pickThis was a gripping story and surprisingly dense considering the length.
It seems ironic that the American editions of Ditlevsen's books all have her face on them, since she seems to have not been terribly impressed by her own appearance.

Visited a book sale during Christmas Eve. Very quiet, no crowd at all, unlike the previous years. Believe it or not, I only managed to get ONE book. Well, there were more children‘s books than adults, so 🤷🏻♀️.
Anyway, I want to wish everyone who celebrates a very Merry Christmas - a Christmas filled with love, peace, and joy. 🎄
pickLise, a children‘s book writer with a writing block has a breakdown. We follow her experience in hospital and her journey out of it. What I liked about the book is that it‘s told from her experience, her internal world, the voices she hears blurring external and internal reality. I am finding it difficult to review this book. The writing is very creative and unusual, sometimes funny.
