Bookwomble @CBee I'm with you, but then we in Britain have a well-read and intelligent Prime Minister, a former human rights lawyer, who since coming to power has attempted to remove essential benefits from the poor and marginalised, while leaving the wealth of the rich untouched. I miss having a people's representative with a moral centre founded on empathy rather than profit and the establishment. 😕 1d

Bookwomble @CBee If you'll pardon my saying so, it's not quite the shit show you currently have in the US 😉 but we do have a strengthening strand of far right populism that is driven largely by both the example of and the direct financing of the US right 🫤 1d
