Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Library
Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Library | Julie Gassman

Have you ever thought about bringing your dragon to the library? Don't do it! You might have the best intentions, but that dragon will cause nothing but trouble. Using rhyming text and a diverse cast of characters, this charming picture book will provide some important and some not so important library etiquette in a very entertaining way."

This feels like one of those “how do dinosaurs say…” type books. But it gives a separate page for the child‘s promise to what the dragon may end up doing. That gives times for children to think what might happen next. It‘s a good book about the general rules about the level of respect in a library - which I sometimes worry is being lost.

This is a wonderful book to teach children about libraries and their rules. The illustrations are brilliant and colorful. Just fun! It would be fabulous for storytimes.

Haha can you tell I googled my local libraries? Don't be tricked by the x at the top left! The bottom is #MyLocalLibrary and the top is the one by where my husband (and I officially used to) work! That one is brand new and huge. #Riotgrams

I am in love. Every library needs a copy. It may be a little two long to read at most storytimes, it is perfect to illustrate why kids need a library card. The illustrations take everything over the top. Sometimes the rhymes are a little harsh, but it all comes together in the end.
