The bestselling author of Vurt spins another audaciously inventive tales of reality gone soft and dreams become real. As an enormous cloud of pollen descends upon a city, people begin to literally sneeze themselves to death. When a cop, one of the few who is immune, sets out to find the source of the plague, what she discovers will forever alter the ancient relationship between people and the myths they create to make sense of the world.

Mehso-so

I loved the first half of this, it was a really cool concept and world build that im assuming carried on from Vurt, and the key characters were interesting, but then the second half kind of lost it. Dreamscapes are cool when they're weird, but this one didn't hold in the story, and Persephone didn't need to be ... any of that. And maybe this guy needs to make some vent smut with everything ELSE he was throwing in.

RamsFan1963 I was unaware there was a sequel to Vurt. I didn't love Vurt but I found parts of it interesting. Is it worth reading Pollen if I didn't love the first one? 4y

The sweet death of Coyote, master taxi driver, is only the first. Soon people are sneezing and dying all over Manchester.
Telekinetic cop Sybil Jones knows that, like Coyote, they died happy - but even a happy death can be a murder.
As exotic blooms begin to flower all over the city, the pollen count is racing towards 2000 and Sybil is running out of time.

@lemonlime799 this is my cat Pollen. When we rescued her as a kitten 11 years ago we noticed she was sweet as honey. So we were brain storming names for her related to honey and every time we said Pollen she meowed, purred, and rubbed against us, so she named herself. #catsoflitsy
