Evie is the main character and Lester has been careful not to overshadow her with the delectable Thomas Whitman or, his mother, the delightful Mrs Whitman. It‘s hard not to fall in love with these characters but the supporting characters are just that, coming in and out of the story to support or deter Evie where needed.

This was fabulous as an audiobook. The narrator captured the story perfectly.
pickJust started this debut from a new Australian author after reading about it in Good Reading magazine. It's about a woman in 1920s Manhattan who fights to become an obstetrician, and to pay her way in college becomes a Ziegfield Follies dancer. I love the Art Deco period, so far it doesn't dissapoint
